While originally intended to protect licensees,  both the Louisiana Counseling Association and the Louisiana Association for Marriage and Family Therapy have concluded that the law in its current form is actually threatening licensees' position in the mental health marketplace and restricting the ability of consumers to access the unique skills of counselors and marriage and family therapists.

coordinated effort with LAMFT and LCA for the good of our

profession and our clients and speak with one voice!
